Chart Design & Datawrapper

EL ESPAÑOL data unit doesn't create every graphic published on the newspaper. We are happy leaving the job of making simple charts to the rest of the newsroom.

Datawrapper is a tool that just does that, it allows non-coders to create graphics on a web interface. I installed and customized the app on a server, creating a unique stylesheet for the charts based on a design guideline.

To the date it has been widely adopted by the journalists, counting 800 charts since October (200 per month!).

Tools: Apache, PHP and CSS.
